(EMPORIA, KS) Tuesday, April 23, 2019 --- Brandon Boyce is filing a Kansas Open Records Act (KORA) for any communication between Jack Griswold, Mr. Griswold’s Attorneys, Douglas County Kansas Prosecutor, Judges, and any Law Enforcement Officer that was involved in the case regarding Jack Griswold’s DUI investigation. Brandon is also calling on the Kansas Attorney General to allow the Kansas Bureau of Investigation to investigate the Griswold case.

The reporting conducted by Sunflower Action News’ Halle Haas is alarming. For someone to fail a field sobriety test and a .12 blood alcohol concentration level and to have all charges dismissed without comment from the Lawrence Police Department is appalling. Haas’ reporting alludes that there is suspicion of corruption between the Lawrence Police Department, The Lawrence Municipal Court, and Jack Griswold.

The Jack Griswold Campaign has said that, “The criminal justice system in Kansas underfunded, overburdened, outdated, and vulnerable to corruption that has already taken root.” This investigation reeks of corruption. Kansans deserve better.

Brandon has always respected the laws and supports law enforcement but corruption in our judicial system has no place in Kansas and should not be tolerated by Kansans. On Brandon’s first day in office, Brandon will order the Attorney General to investigate any instances of corruption and prosecute those that have violated the law.
